💡 Tip: Let each player control a “quadrant” of each combat zone to keep cards organized! Each player should place their units and territories on the nearest corner of the combat zone indicators so everyone can keep track of whose cards are whose.

Free-for-all
Up to 4 players battle each other for control of the zones.
Victory Condition: First to 20 victory points wins. You may adjust this value as a house rule, if you want to tailor your group’s session time longer or shorter.
Exceptions from base game:
- The first player doesn’t skip the draw on their first turn.
- In Free for all, when a counter step occurs, the player(s) who are allowed to initiate the counter stack depends on who controls the attacked zone.
- If the attacked zone is unoccupied, the player next in turn order from the attacker may initiate the counter stack. If they don't, proceed to the next player after that, and so on. If no player initiates the counter stack, no counter step occurs.,
- If the attacked zone is occupied, the defending player may initiate the counter stack. If they don't, no counter step occurs.
- During a counter stack, instead of alternating between players, the opportunity to add to the counter stack is passed along players in turn order until no one else wishes to add to the stack. Then it resolves.
Team 2v2
Build a real life alliance and work together to control the battlefield! Members of a team take their turns simultaneously.
- Both players of the first turn team skips their first draw.
- Tally victory points as one entity.
- Your ally no longer counts as an “opponent” and you can share information with them.
- The card term “friendly” now applies to both you and your ally.
Victory Condition: First team to reach a total of 20 victory points wins.
